‘The Labour Party’s climate strategy in government: exploring the obstacles and challenges ahead’
Dr Michael F. Keating, Professor of International Political Economy at ÁùºÏ²ÊÏÖ³¡Ö±²¥ American University London, participated in a one-day policy workshop held recently.
Hosted by the University of Leeds at Cloth Hall Court (Leeds), in Association with the Yorkshire and Humber Climate Commission, the workshop addressed the Labour Party’s climate strategy, focusing on policies to achieve a zero-carbon transition by 2050, financial strategies for delivering these policies, and how to ensure a just transition.
Participants included Labour MPs, councillors and candidates, academics specialising in energy and environmental issues and in British politics, as well as industry and civil society representatives.
